Q: When these things happened, it's not like you were there for it.

An awkward morning. I’ll start with that. Vickson picked me up after a 30 minute delay. No apologies heard, that’s alright, what can you expect when you’re wanting a free ride. In reverse to make matters worse, I was greeted with a sour face. Then I was left to question myself if I did anything wrong. Honestly, I really do not like it when adults act like little kids. You know what I mean, those who shows their colors so easily instead of being in control of the situation.

Let’s talk about why he’s mad, which I found out after lunch. He found out that the girl he likes is dating someone now. He unfortunately wasn’t aware about the whole thing. Still, if it upsets you that much, I’d rather you cancel the outing. What a way to dampen the mood of others. Good thing it was a short drive; I would have been willing to excuse him in a heartbeat if he ever asks to go home. But he didn’t, and remained quiet.

Arriving at Lexington Market, we met up with Sora and mom for some crab cakes. Even our Korean friends picked up on the atmosphere, but were quick to ignore it for lunch was more important. Behold, the no filler, pure meat, crab cake. For $14 per lump, you’ll be sure to want more. But we were saving our stomachs for pizza later that day.

Vickson salvaged the disaster by talking us into going to the Bromo Seltzer tower. That alone made me forgive him for the morning mishap, but I’ll take note to not hang out when he’s under the weather. Sorry boy, but you’re not the kind of person I’d go out with on a good day like this. The tower is open on every Saturday of the summer months, and is free for visitors alike. You can buy paintings from artists too. Feeling adventurous? Well, they have tours to go up the tower to see the clock. Apparently, it’s one foot larger than the Big Ben of London.

I told Vickson to go home to cool his head. His behavior was putting a damp towel over what could have been a fun day out. Sora and I can only breathe a sigh of relief. It was difficult to put up with him at certain times, but as friends, we tolerated. Anyway, we went into the Methodist Church at Mt Vernon to witness a wedding! Strike a thought in me, will I ever find a man who I want to marry in the future? That I’ll leave it to time, but he will definitely NOT be Vickson.
Happily ever after forever?
Falters,
Vonnie S.
