Q: And that's how it is.

People, let’s be frank. The previous post may have sounded like a joke. You would’ve thought that my complete lack of ideas and laziness have made me commit the atrocity of using a reply message to a junior as a blog post. I should have been ashamed of myself. I agree with you. But you love me enough to realize that I WILL be forgiven. Nuff said.
I needed a bathroom break, okay?
I met up with SoraK and her mom at Mt Vernon today. Had to wait quite a bit for them because Sora couldn’t find the parking garage she wanted. That cost us two hours but I didn’t mind it. Just sat inside the Peabody library and soaked in the smell of old books, all that while bathing in tiny rays of sunlight. So comforting were the warmth and beauty of the library that time seemed to have stood still and I was left in awe as usual. It didn’t matter that I’ve stepped into its space for the sixth time, it always seem to feel as though we’ve never met.
You'll wish to marry a billionaire to build this!
By 3pm, I spotted the two alighting from the Purple circulator bus. Her mother was donned in typical ahjumma fashion. Honestly, it’s the hat. I digress. I hurried them into the library. The closing hour for both attractions (the other being the Walter’s Art Museum) is 5pm. We had little to spare; it was a race against time. The feeling for the same place can really change depending on what’s at stake. But we managed. In fact, I brought them to Homeslyce for their classic-flavored pizza. Yes, I was back again. Heck, it made me really happy to know that Sora’s mom loved the food. Quote her, “the best pizza she’s ever tasted!” Proud.

Suckers,
Vonnie S.
