Vickson
and I were on our food quest again. Yesterday, we conquered some recognized
eateries, three of them in total. First stop was LP Steamers for six
medium-sized fresh blue crabs and a serving of fried calamari. Love the crabs
for the meats. They weren’t overcook like the ones I had at Faidley’s. Calamari
was a letdown; I suppose when it comes to sotongs,
we make them better. You know who we are. :P
| Dry and very lacking in fluffiness cream puffs are known for; fail. |
Next
stop, Vaccaro’s. Words have gotten to my ears that they serve top notch
desserts. Despite saving some room for sweets, I was immensely disappointed in
the quality. Honestly, anyone who claims that their gelato is the best has
definitely not tried Pitango. The ginormous serving size makes up for the price
it bears, but not enough to make me come back for more. As for the cream puffs,
Beard Papa from Japan wins hands down. Your server lacks friendliness too, just
saying.
| Note to self; don't ever go for mint green pistachio ice creams anymore. |
Because
of the rain, we were forced indoors. There, Vickson and I played Chodaidi for 52
rounds. Yes, we counted. Unfortunately, it ended in his favor, a 30-22 score,
not even close to say that I’ve put up a good fight. That goes on to say that I
should stick to Black Jack should it involve gambling. After many toilet breaks
in between, we headed out to the last pit stop of the day, Stang of Siam for
drunken noodles and green curry. As usual, they lived up to my expectation,
both dishes made my taste buds danced the Long Nails.
Total
damage cost: $42.xx
