Day 02: Oi ahjumma!

What a lovely morning. The rain seemed to have dried out its tears and left. I guess we had no reason not to go for a morning walk to the Waverly Farmer’s Market on 32nd street. I had a plan to make Vietnamese spring rolls for dinner, which meant having to purchase some fresh lettuce and mint. Turns out the market have lots to offer, from flowers, breakfast, to fruits. I would simply call this the American pasar pagi
Meats for sale; note that they sell rabbit too.
I had my taste of bison again after a while. What made it funny was that the lady selling them wore a similar outfit as I did. We waved towards one another, sharing a mutual moment, acknowleging our choice in wardrobe. So what if we’re of a different race?

Sweet peas make really good snacks. Gonna return for these!
Fresh vegetables at decent prices.
Some flowers for your love ones?
What about some goat cheese pastries?
We had some Blacksauce Kitchen biscuits, washed down with ginger juice for breakfast. After walking around, I made it out with my purchases. All that at the cost of ten bucks (including breakfast), and we’re back to my apartment for naptime.

Very traditional,
Vonnie S.
