Q: There's a pit of age surrounding my heart.

That my dear is the longest text message I've ever received this year. But thank you for being so patient with my reply. Had been out and about with people. You know me and my relationship with cell phones, I try to not let it interfere when I am spending time with friends.
Anyway, I don't know what sort of feedback you're looking from me. So I can only say a couple of stuffs that ran through my mind as I read the poem(?):
1. Oh boy, you just reminded me that I am getting old too.
Well, it is not that I've never known that fact, I am just too preoccupied to be depressed about it. Plus, with only a couple years to go in life, you just have to push through for some happiness. To say that you can leave the world behind because you've done a lot. EMBRACE YOUR AGE!
2. Have to constantly remind oneself that age is just a number.
The physical thing tho, is real. I can hardly soak up data any faster than I did years ago, and it is unfortunately deteriorating (I believe). Now that shit scares me. But again, cannot afford to let it trouble me. I should focus that energy into exercising. That I can wait till tomorrow to decide. (and I will forget again!) ADOPT A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE!
3. If you have time to be feeling old, you have to start learning how not to waste your time thinking about that. Go out there and do something you've never thought of doing, even if it may end up being a waste of time. Heck, at least you can say you've been there done that. Say...ever heard of a bucket list? SET GOALS!
4. Associate with like-minded individuals. That speaks for itself. Really? Now when I mean like-minded, I really mean positive thinkers. Those who are not their age. I am not talking about the immature bunch, I am talking about those who follows pointers 1, 2, & 3.
That's all I have. Other than that, it's a pretty great poem.
Take care!
Vonnie S.
