Q: You have to eat either way.

I am stuffed. After a spinach dish (done right with chapatti), I sat down at the bookstore to finish up on Sket Dance and this blog post. I realized that this may be the last anime series I’ll watch more than two episodes in a row for the year. Beginning tomorrow, I promised to work hard.

Anyway, I’ll recap what happened yesterday. We, I mean PF, S and myself went out for grocery shopping. We literally spent half the day shopping. No kidding. We started with Great Wall in the morning. The store recently opened nearby, and was recommended for its cheaper prices compared to H Mart. This preference may be partially due to most products being Chinese-based rather than Korean-based. I was right and the selection was expansive. To prove my point, they sold Malaysian Durians as well. Here us two Chinese were shopping, S decided to be on the phone from entrance till checkout.

Want to know what’s funny tho? Our next stop was at Patel Brothers, an Indian store. She went in so quick and spent a good hour there without ever touching her phone. I don’t know. Perhaps we just need some time apart. Doing everything together can get pretty boring with her behaving like this, plus I did mentioned before how much I hate people touching their phones when they are out with others. It’s almost to say that “I am bored”.

With some time left, we darted forth to H Mart. There, she repeated her antics. Sigh, at least I managed to shop my essentials. Throughout the morning, S kept guilt tripping us for choosing to eat buffet at a Chinese place. She cited a fellow Indian who mentioned that if one eats at a Chinese restaurant, they may develop some sort of allergy. Imagine this person repeatedly tells you that he/she will eat elsewhere for lunch while we are ‘allowed’ to go eat that buffet. But I was kind. I actually suggested a place change, but PF was stubborn.

In the end, there wasn’t a choice but for her to come in along with us. Guess what, she ended up loving the place. Geez, I realized that there is a limit to being a princess. And kids, that is not how you do it okay?

Last name,
Vonnie S.
