I had a good day out with SoraK and PingF today. Inner
Harbor donned gloomy skies and blotches of dappled gray clouds, still no rain
in sight. The duo were shopping at The Gallery early this morning and shortly
after my arrival, decided to have lunch at the top floor of the mall. PingF had
American Chinese cuisine, some bourbon chicken and fried “soy sauce” rice. Yes,
in the US everyone has a middle name. The fried rice was as dark as the color
of diluted soy sauce; I assume you can imagine how that tasted like. SoraK had a
safer choice of teppanyaki beef and plain white rice. It was delicious, but so
Asian lah these two. Not me, I went for a McDonald’s Dollar Menu Specials, the
spicy chicken fillet burger. So Asian lah me, being cheap and all. Bugger, you
don’t give that the one burger I wanna eat is on the Dollar Menu! What’s your
problem? Then again, you might be thinking, hey I would totally have done the
same. Why, so Asian lah you.
PingF needed some gifts for her relatives at Michigan. Girl
is seeing them for the first time in her 23 years of living. I’d say girl gots
some balls to have agreed to embark on this journey. And I wanted to hang with
them, now that finals are over and done with. Oh, HJ is on the plane as we
speak, heading back to Malaysia. That’s all you need to know about her for now.
Anyway, PingF left us shortly after to complete her group report due tomorrow.
Girl really needs to learn prioritizing her stuffs right. While it was just
Sora and I, we didn’t let that affect the good day out. She scored a Hello
Kitty calendar and planner (feat Hello Kitty in a cupcake) at the huge Barnes
& Nobles. I was considering getting a Tokidoki Unicorn box, but it fell out
of favor. I caved into getting cheesecakes instead.
After one Hawaiian pizza, a raspberry truffle cheesecake and
a red velvet cheesecake, we were both stuffed. I was never out alone this late
and I am glad to say that we both made it home safely. Now I can’t wait to
finish up Blood C. No more gore for meals anymore!
