E: Happy New Year! 2013, already?

2012 was a bad year with deaths and loss of properties, but also a good year with progress and rekindled relationships. Tis now the year of the Water Snake, I have much hope for 2013. Will you accept the challenges ahead, or slow down to consolidate the present? Whatever it is, I wish you stronger arms, quicker wit, heavier wallets, heartier laughter, and a braver heart. Such went my last Facebook status of the year. Before someone else comments an "I know what you did there..." I'd like to clarify that things are just about to get more challenging. In contrary to what feng shui or other predictions have for the year, I believe mine will be an uphill battle instead of a stagnant one. That, in my opinion, is a full blown self improvement booster plan all set and ready to go!

For the sake of the new year celebration, let's take a look back at the one list I created back in January. Voila, my bucket list for the year 2012:

1) Be healthier by eating right and swimming lots!
I managed this till mid year (only in Malaysia). I stopped eventually upon arrival in the US.

2) To be able to play 50 songs by the end of 2012.

Still can't even manage up to 20 songs, what more 50?

3) Practice kindness and love people.

Achievement unlocked! I always try my best at this area. Already forgiven my devil of a roommate.

4) Spend more time with mom and dad.

Did so, and I've managed longer calls home too. :)

5) Do the Epic Malaysian Roadtrip!

Tak jadi. My potential travel mates bailed out. I'm not even gonna list names.

6) Find a cure for Tsing's obsessions for shoes. pending...

Still pending...

7) Read at least three books a month.

Didn't happen. But I read once a month which is still quite a feat.

8) Cuss less. Seriously needs a lot of work here.

Screw this lah.

9) Win a chodaidi match against ktsiong.

Saving this for 2015. This is beginning to sound impossible.

10) Maintain an 80% average on monthly blog postings.
For the love of you guys, I am blogging at 80% on average for the entire year! All hail me!

With all due respect, I fulfilled three and a half items of my list. Time for a new bucket list tomorrow.

What about you?
Vonnie S.
