What a heartless owner, is what my body should be saying
after I made it go through a Blood C marathon. I wonder how I managed to eat
through the scenes of blood spill and dissected flesh. At times I believe I’ve
already gone through such distasteful genre (Elfen Lied still haunts me) and
never liking them. But with it comes experience, and when the body learned a
thing or two ways of responding, it should stop cringing fearfully. As the story goes, I still don’t like gore as watching
such genre gives me plenty grief. It saddens and scares me to see characters
die. The thrill that compliments it on the other hand is why people continue to
support zombies or horror movies. Like a runner, it is not enough with just one
round of adrenaline rush. It’s Guilty Crown next. I’ve heard a lot about the
anime, so somehow I ended back into the game, already half way through 22
episodes.
It’s been three days after the semester has ended, and I
wanted to have a good rest before I make an appearance again in January. Just
when I made the decision to live my remaining holiday in peace, I was invited
to join two others on a trip to New York City. Two first-timers are being brave
to plan this on their own, and I agreed to play along with them. I gave them
the hands off approach, letting them have the freedom to plan the itinerary
while I recuperate. The Big Apple, huh? This may be the one city I’ll reliably
return to over time, like Chicago during my undergrad days. Well, DC isn’t a
bad deal too, I suppose.
World is ending and here I am counting the number of apples I have left in the fridge.
