On Saturday, I had an appetizer out of the Big Apple. It was
a short day trip, and honestly quite a pointless one considering I had merely six
hours to get around the place. For 30 bucks, I wouldn't have signed up for it,
but HuiJ, SoraK, and PingF wanted to go for it. South Korean even went and
purchased the ticket for me ahead of time. In other words, I went ahead to
please them. Before you get any wrong ideas, I did enjoy my time at New York
City. Had a really good Malaysian dinner (satay, wat tan hor, Hainan chicken,
oh jien and kangkung belacan), visited Times Square and Chinatown, nearly went
for The Lion King Broadway if not for HuiJ’s craving for some Asian food
shopping. When I’m with the trio, it’s great fun, tho HuiJ and SoraK are like
significantly older than me (I believe they are but children at heart). Honestly,
they treat me like a child and I have absolutely no problem with that. Why if
only they know what I think of them. Shh…keep this a secret. PingF is of the
same age, but she’s as clueless as an innocent lamb gets. I have to be on
constant lookout for her amidst the busy crowd cause the other two will be
speed walking ahead.
Anyway, it was a full day. Next time for sure, I'll make it a point to stay over, meet up with EstherC and gang before leaving NYC. Still, I was beat by the end of it and
BonnieB had to jump on my back as I walked with the gang to Walkers Apartment.
That girl would only let go if I did the Pikachu impersonation (and she had to
pull on my cheeks in the process). The night closed in with me in HuiJ’s room,
snoozing the stars away.
Stomach flu to be continued,
