Q: The most beautiful thing in this world is my mother's smile.

I've heard a lot about the Baltimore Book Festival and decided to give it a go since the JHU Shuttle makes a convenient stop at Peabody where it's held. The event will go on for the entire weekend, but I always prefer to go on the first day just to beat the crowd. CarmenS went with me because she is a fan of Ledisi, a grammy nominated singer. I must admit, Ledisi is a great speaker, touching on tender moments about family and facing body image challenges. Did I mentioned they serve wine? Oh-ho.

Anyway, I made my rounds seeking out reads that could potentially fill up my free time (if I ever have one) to no avail. There were books on politics, myths and even the karma sutra (so many edition and versions). I suppose the price wasn't right for me. I  know I can get some of them at Barnes & Noble on my way home. No biggie there.

This tho I have to mention in this post. Just shy of two hours ago, I had my first vege burger. I am not kidding ya, for vegetable entrees are hardly ever my top three choice, but it was so good (and amazing), I couldn't resist not getting another one to go. The handsome lad told me the patty is made of soy and I was sold. You might not believe me on that note, because even Carmen went, "Seriously, don't you think it's cause of the chocolate bar he had?"

Onward to bed,
Vonnie S.
