AFA is officially the only one event I've chosen a day to attend instead of going for all days. There are unfortunately several reasons to this; I don't want to spend anymore money than I already have, too far, not booth keeping and apart from the concert I don't see anything significantly interesting to draw me back in. The number of attendees were impressive I'd say, a point in time we were lining up just to get to the other side of the KLCC hall. You have to realize that the hall in KLCC is huge. So it is still an overall successful event with a decent lineup of celebrities (from the entertainment and cosplay world) and merchandise sellers. My spoils? Five gashapon coins, a fan, a sticker, and a new job. I'll get to that in a second.
Eleven of us convoyed in two cars from OUG, broke a rule by going the opposite direction of the road (GTA style), and managed to park at a spot near to the tunnel into PWTC. We arrived at 10.00am, redeemed our wristband and met up with friends (there was quite a few of them). I'll attempt to walk you through AFA Malaysia right now. The event was divided into three sections, each bundle has its respective price too; the Festival, the Stage, and the AniSong concert. We've payed RM171, a VIP pass which gave us access to all of them. Not bad of a deal considering that the concert was awesome beyond words, and I had fun being a part of the Patapon parade.
Danny Choo was there to promote his character (or rather, daughter), Mirai from Mirai Millenium (she's soon to be available on a Touch & Go card near you) and Moekana, a fun way to learn your Japanese right. Might get that soon for collection purposes. Of course, there's the gorgeous Kaname. I'll stop right there and talk about the concert instead. That Sunday night, we jammed to anime songs from Sea☆A, KOTOKO, and FLOW! If you don't know them, you know you're missing out on good music. I especially love the latter two, just cause they were really generous, serenading at least five songs each; Naruto's GO, Rurouni Kenshin's 1/3 Junjou na Kanjou, Hayate no Gotoku's self titled first opening song, Onegai Sensei's Shooting Star, and many more classics. Lost my voice the next morning, but it's worth it!
And getting lost on the terror ride back home too. Edmund is clearly still a P license holder.
Lolo,
