Q: Don't sleep so late ar!

Woke up to a minor headache sprinkled with light dizziness (or hangover for short), no thanks to alcohol. It is unusual for me to indiscriminately charge this lovely invention worthy of Bacchus but when you mix Kahlua and root beer, that brown concoction can get pretty addictive taste wise. Try drizzling a tablespoon of that over vanilla ice cream. I suggest you prepare yourself for a spoonful of happiness and a good movie to watch while you're at it. Last night, it proved to me that pairing the drink/dessert with a loud company helps too. The rest were so hung up on Bacardi and Absolut, you start seeing them literally, dropping like flies in the living room. Birthday boy was knocked out cold, a signal for some of us to bolt for home and pray for an easy morning to come.

HL came last, but her presence filled up the room in a flash and you'd have noticed it right away because of her uncalled for 'jackal laughter'. For you readers who have never in living days heard of this term, it was dearly coined to refer to HK's cry for celebrating the lighter moments in life, a sort of howling doubled on laughing. It's just crazy even trying to explain it to you. So we can forget that. She came to seat herself between me and JasonL, her butt practically muffin top our lap. Her hands held a packet of mango marshmallow. Because of her bubbly nature, it is understood that your discomfort is not of her concern, but her way of getting your attention, in this case, mine.

You can tell how sugar induced I must have been that night. Being hand fed marshmallows and refilled drinks, it is a wonder I can even drive myself home and slept a whole eight hours. Perhaps drinking loads of water helped flush the extras away. Then I instinctively knew, I had to remain sober with HL around. Of course, I was glad that I was and all I can remember is her saying, "I miss the days you would come complain to me. When you're quiet, it almost seem like we're strangers."

Umeshu banzai!
