Q: How to tell her straight in the face?

I don't like it should people not pull their weight around their job. It gets even more frustrating when they feign innocence and put the blame on someone else. (I seem to be surrounded by guilt tripping people of late, boohoo.) No one likes this kid, but are holding off on berating; you can call it face-saving, don't care, or rather short on staff (in other words, no choice). A colleague was found slitting his throat every time she asks a favor. I totally understand him, the favors often involve rides to and fro work and free dinners.

"My goodness, she could at least think about reimbursing me on gas and toll," he sighed, "Our boss another one also. Dun care."

She pried on kindness and unfortunately so, opportunists like her are everywhere these days. Then again, I am not pissed about just that one reason. It's the factors that add up overtime. Fml.

Bowl over,

Q: I'll be MAJOR CRUSH but what to doooo.

Some people don’t really get it. At least I’m coming to agree with my coordinator’s rants on the younger generation; as in we have little to almost no sentimentally. When my home was broken into last month, you can clearly witness the effects it had on my family. For instance, paranoia blankets us as soon as night falls; mom would triple check outside the window and I would flip over the slightest sound (no matter how much I try to convince myself that it was something trivial like the wind or owl-like neighbors). You might think it’s borderline silly, well I agree with you. But I also believe that should you ever had to experience a break in, you’d somehow end up doing the same.

YL was traumatized from one that she stays outside the house watching the auto gates close and remain there for five minutes before pulling away. GavinL never locks his room door at night, but since four years ago he does it ever so often it became a habit to lock even when friends are just hanging out. SandraP said, “Now I sleep with my bouken in my room. You know how bad that thing smells after class. But what to do…I feel a lot safer with it.”

The recovery will take time. But there will be others out there who presume life resumes unscathed, not understanding that the victims are steadfastly trying to cope with losses and insecurities.

GavinL: You should see how they try to guilt trip you into going out with them. Waahh, I don’t follow on the trip means I’m the bad guy. But did they think about me?

Amen,
Vonnie S.

Q: Confirm 40lbs gone in 4 months.

Pay Less Books sends me multiple emails about their warehouse clearance from time to time over the years, but I have never actually been to one until yesterday. It was hidden inside Puchong, more specifically Bandar Bukit Puchong, a place I hardly venture since it goes beyond Bandar Puteri. My seemingly vacant schedule prompted for a lil adventure beyond the happening spot and hitting the treasure (Google) map to find the X. Why, it was an easy route, just 15 minutes away.

The store is a rather small one, but there were still a number of books to see. I began my search real quick, going through the racks carefully, not missing a title. Unearthing a couple of interesting reads and books I believe some of my acquaintances might appreciate, that was five hard covered and four paperback in total. Guess what, they only cost me RM25. If you’d like to check Pay Less Book out, they’re having a price slash this month till July and the details are as below:

Who knows, you might actually find some real treasure. Mine came in nine books, waiting to be read once more.

Q: Of all the thirty alternatives, running away is best.

You think you lost your horse? Who knows, he may bring a whole herd back to you someday.

Q: Wah, you so young. Can handle us anot?

“Yvonne ar, I think right…my computer got virus.”

The uncles and aunties of Rio who may be plotting to make my weekend miserable, were in fact temporary students of mine trying to make sense of Illustrator. Most of them were there because their company made it compulsory for them to be trained in Adobe, while other reasons include for personal development and learning new set of skills. I made it clear to them that I was no expert, but can get by with designing posters and name cards. It gave them much confidence after looking at my portfolio; most of them were works that I’ve delved in the past.

So the “virus” cry emerged because I asked them to play around with the shape builder icon and told them to create stars, see if they can find the “virus”. After 15 minutes, an uncle shot his arm up and waved frantically for my attention. I applauded him and hence, laughter ensued because he managed to infect half the class. Boy, do those stars look stick thin!

Out of the twenty giddy individuals, one is a thirteen year old, who clearly was placed there by his mother. He was acting cold at first, working on his own, and ignoring the class syllabus. I checked on him from time to time, observing his talent at creating this 3D cheeseburger. I put him on the limelight and I think he did blush at the compliments. The kid, JustinW, was too advance for this AI class. But Sunday was all about CS and he seemed lost at that. Phew, but I admit, kid’s got talent.

Reviews: 4.5 stars!

Q: Pull away if you want to, that is.

SOS flies in when you least expected it. On Friday, it manifested in a form of IvanH. with a pitiful cup of Chatime bubble tea. The offering had clearly seen a traffic jam, having melted down to a distinct layer of water and milk tea, the pearls rarely visible in the murky waters. You know he had to be dang desperate to be doing so, honking away at my front door with his Proton Iswara. I, on the other hand, was baffled by this mad man and decided to do what an annoyed pangolin would do – ignore him. Then the monotonous sound kept going on for five solid minutes. Idiot. There’s such an invention called doorbell, make use of it!

“What the hell, Ivan! You trying to get yourself killed?” The moment he lowered the tinted window, he offered a handshake. Cold sweaty palms, pimple-clad face, papers in the back seat and a strong citrus smelling car interior; ex-colleague is hard at work.

“I don’t know what to get. Original flavor okay?” He said, handing me the cup as I frown at the quality of the drink.

“You didn’t have to. What’s up?”

IvanH. ran through an urgent message that my ex-boss entrusted him to me. To hold a basic AI & PS class temporarily over the weekend. The students comprise of working adults and possibly kids. I didn’t quite like the idea without thorough details, but the pay is great. A whopping five grand just for that weekend.

Money God,

Q: (yes, you told me about it xD)

Just think of the trees: they let the birds perch and fly, with no intention to call them when they come and no longing for their return when they fly away. If people's hearts can be like the trees, they will not be off the Way.
