I picked up three Subway receipts on the ground
today. Each of those receipts can be traded in for a free cookie. I did just
that and gave them away to a homeless guy. It has been raining the whole day,
and I know how cold it is. I’ve picked the thrash, exchanged for food and feed
another human being. We have to live either way. I don’t like giving money away
to the homeless no more. From what I’ve observed in the past, money has the
potential for abuse. Some people don’t know how to make informed decisions, and
prefer to rely on their impulses. Hence, they may use the money for drugs,
alcohol, and sodas.
If you truly mean well and want to do charity, ask
them what they need and buy it for them.
