Q: This isn't weird, right?

I have dabbled a little in Adobe Illustrator across the years since my college days, but have since lost touch. The program itself is expensive, and unless you’re playing with it every day, it is not worth the investment. But I downloaded it yesterday out of curiosity and to view a business card designed by my friend. Of all things, the file had to be in .ai format.

After placing order on more mailing labels and a box of business cards, I was back to the laptop reading. I don’t know why, but it is an anxious moment I can’t quite explain. Every day my palm sweats. Every day my nerves go haywire. Is it the food I eat? Is it the nights I don’t sleep? Is it the unknown future I’ll soon tread? Or simply the approaching deadline I may fail to meet?

Either way, I hope to get out of this routine. Speaking to mom helps calm the anxiety, as I remind myself that no matter how rough the road ahead is, those who persevere will win in the end. J

Evergreen tree,
Vonnie S.
