Downed Campione! like water today, without using the faster speed mode. In case that didn’t register, I have been watching a lot of my shows on a(n) x2 speed, rendering a shorter time spent on each episode. Not quite as enjoyable, as all your characters sound like chipmunks and the painstakingly animated action scenes look like a shotgun joke. Nonetheless did not deter me from breezing through certain anime series, mostly the more boring ones.

That one scene in episode 12 of Campione! left me feeling more embarrassed than that one time I shouted out a wrong answer during lecture. Forget that, I am talking about the over-the-top passionate make out scene between Godou and Erica. Now before I touch on that, I’d like to say that this anime is a mix basket for me. On one hand, you’ve got thirteen episodes of realistic fan service and the not so realistic harem party. A little is okay, but like all cuisines, too much spoils it for me. The other hand held something more appealing, a story line that uses mythology. That caught my attention and I wasn’t disappointed. Despite it’s rough pacing (left out some vital scenes), I still appreciated the concept and graphics quality.

I’d give the anime a 7/10. Good so far? Cool. You’ve probably skipped that whole portion anyway. Where’s the juicier stuff, woman? Hold ye biologically programmed inclination to pounce on anything sex. I’ll make it clear that I don’t watch hentai. But this one scene had me slammed my finger on the mute button. Hah, you ain’t a child anymore, so why the overreaction? To be honest, I wished I haven’t had it on max volume.

The characters clearly did not have sex, but it was implied. Them two at a deserted beach, and the girl was on the verge of death with a simple wish—to have one last kiss from the one man she loves. Oh, you’d think it’s gonna be a peck? Hell no. The author had the main character gain an avatar of adolescent, and he was to “inject” her with the divine power. Girl had to say “please be gentle” before he work his magic. Mm, they kissed so ganas-ly that the girl had her lips chipped and it bleed. Dude was so into it that he raised her leg too. And at the end of it, girl had to place her hand on her tummy to say she felt “warm".

Have you caught onto some of the symbolisms? Judge for yourself and watch the anime, I’d recommend it. This one scene must have gotten me all riled up. Longest post this year!
