Q: Each card tells a part of a story.

Twas an Artscape weekend! All hail the traffic jams and smelly bus rides. You know damn well these people celebrate summer in full swing when they don’t bother to wear their deodorants! I had a go at the event because it was highly recommended by a Hopkins alumnus. She unfortunately is physically located at KL, much to my disappointment.

Heck, I’ll survive. There are places to go without a need to travel far.
Packed with humans of all stage of age, the vicinity of Penn Station never looked more happening. Rows of artist booths, commercial exhibitors with their free samples, and music bands on every corner of Charles Street will be how I’d summarize the event. If you’re an art junkie, this is your haven. Perhaps you’re not, but the empty space between the living room and dining place begs to be plastered with something colorful.

Being a newbie at the event, I headed first to an Information booth for a map and schedule of activities. Spent a dollar on a pin as well, a souvenir to remember Artscape by when it’s over. Total damage: after two hours and a half, I spent six bucks (had to buy those postcards!). But hey, I got these goodies in tow and I ain’t complaining!

Not anymore,
Vonnie S.
