Q: If the waves don't move it, it will not move.

PeiShi and June welcomed my arrival at Kim Gary with a surprise guest who I admit surprised me so much to have everyone forgetting I was late. (For I was trying to make light of the situation; choosing to introduce myself to Chong as though it was our first time meeting. Priceless because he played along.) Shortly an hour ago, a client living at Puchong was feeding me tons of Chinese New Year cookies (the pineapple tarts are to die for), so I wasn’t at all hungry for lunch. Woah, random conversations are indeed random. When it began with interesting-news-of-the-week, to movies, to new houses, to politics, to travelling; you know you’re having a good one. Given a great length of room to cover, and it didn’t help that the restaurant patrons were drowning us out, we swapped location to Starbucks. And there we talked about bats and my ex-roommate (Chong must secretly love her).  Yes, Erwin was there with us too. A great yam cha session!

Later on, I excused myself to the Club and I found ktsiong waiting, reading pages of Sherlock Holmes away. “Did you finish your book yet?” He was referring to the Radical Simplicity book (by Dan Price) that I bought at an MPH clearance sale a month ago. “Yeah, finished it before War Horse.” I am excited for the next read. It’s a collection of short stories and the fact that these stories are Vietnamese influenced, you know it’s gonna be enlightening for sure. But just for today, I unexpectedly pulled a muscle, thanks to overstraining the hand from rounds of tennis. And as for ktsiong, he had a lot to gloat about this time. At least he bought my dinner! Guilt trip!
