| A rather small Omatsuri near the Harbor place. |
The day
before the actual event and I was already scouting on the grounds of the Inner
Harbor. We had to collect the ticket a day earlier to avoid the line. While I
managed to arrive early, the boys were running late. And what luck I had to
wait a whole hour for them, on top of that, to battle the pouring rain. I seek
refuge at H&M and got two new tops. Fall is coming soon, and I’ll
definitely need some thicker clothing.

After
reuniting with the boys, we quickly got to the convention center for the
tickets. The line was hella long, but it moved fairly quickly. Imagine lining
for twenty minutes just to collect your tickets. You can already imagine how
many humans were stuffed inside the hall, bumper to bumper. Upon reaching the
counter, we were given a choice of eight badge patterns to choose from. I was
contemplating whether to get Free! or SAO, and went ahead with the latter just
to assume a mainstream fan.

The
boys made their pick too; Vickson chose SAO and DanK chose OreImo. I had in
mind of a grander preview event, but unfortunately the omatsuri was more of a
gathering of clubs or bands to form awareness. Perhaps you can say it’s like a
very small school fair. Oh dear, I did not just compared it to events back
home. Right?
