Otakon Day 02: Get your rock on!

How cute is this ball of thing?!
PF decided to drop by in the morning to see the event herself. We snuck her into the convention hall for a short glimpse. A quick thirty minutes tour of the place and she was gone. Upon entering the hall, I eyes caught hold of this giant black lump in the middle of the room. In an instant, I leaped and bound forward to my soul mate. This Mokona with its slit eyes was probably reacting the same way I did, frozen in its spot. Cue sunset slowmo song. Haha, I keed. I stood next to it, took a photo and heard it went Puu~ only to find out that there were two people inside. I managed a ‘thank you’ and ran ahead giggling.

Rurouni Kenshin exhibition
Today I spent time buying stuffs, mostly for people whom I owe in the past. HazwanH gets a Fate Zero figurine for constantly assisting me with AMG stuffs, DavionT gets a Railgun phone charm for playing Neopets Daily Dare for me, DanK gets OreImo dust plug for fetching me home the weekend, and VicksonK gets an FMA figurine for my H Mart errand.
So much for having a boyfriend, I am buying gifts for boys. No kidding. Things are pretty pricey in the event. Those stuffs I mentioned went for at least ten bucks each, and I was left near budget burst after buying a plush toy for myself. While I was shopping for those things, I was stopped by two Attack on Titan cosplayers. I was told that being a member of Funimation, I was given the opportunity to win a prize. “Name the three walls in Shingeki no Kyojin.” They left me a Mass Effect blue ray disc and a potato. Thanks, Sasha!
Capacity of more than Budokan itself.
The day ended with a really good concert. We formed a group of six and walked to the Mariner Arena. Upon reaching the building, it was yet another line of people but it was worse. The line spanned a block and a half long and we were under the blazing sun. Time flies though when you’re in the presence of good companies. Watching Home Made Kazoku and TM Revolution do their thing was great. My whole body felt beaten and it got tiring to stand for a long time, but the music forced me up on my feet.

After a couple of 18+ panels later, we made a point to head home for some well-deserved rest. One more day to go!

Love exposure,
Vonnie S.
