JessicaR sat right opposite, in complete complacent as she held a Chemistry lab manual tightly in her hands. That little light of determination in her eyes faded out as she flipped it open, exposing pages after pages of decorous words. The sophomore let out a sigh, for she had come to recognize the complexities of chemical bonds and the unyielding temptation to procrastinate. The quartz watch clinging to her wrist was ticking away, in a beat that reminded her of seconds lost while she stared blankly at the procedure section. The words became a dull blur as though the book had been presoaked with rainwater and the inks smeared across the content. And also, JessicaR was agreeing with her brown eyes--that sleep was more of a necessity this time of the day.
Breaking the silence of the office, she asked her friend: Are you from China?
