Q: Half a million flying flamingoes spells pink skies. Here's a news flash: I hate pink.

Phew, just habis baca The Kite Runner. With this being my third time, this astounding book never ceased to amaze me. He teaches me that an author does not need bombastic words to produce great stories.

Bet you didn't know something about the book. Hm...only if you actually read the book.

On page 367, Amir to Sohrab:

"I read once that, in Malaysia, they use kites to catch fish," I said. "I'll bet you didn't know that. They tie a fishing line to it and fly it beyond the shallow waters, so it doesn't cast a shadow and scare the fish."

Ah, such a pleasant surprise.

  3. Some Sbux stores sold Kite Runner for awhile, but I've never read it before. Sounds like a good book for you to be recommending it.
